death bedding!?

ive heard that some people use aspen bedding for their chin. should i? im worried that my chin my ingest it and it will kill her. do you guys use aspen? is it good bedding? the color crinkles aren't working out so well :-(

Aspen is fine to use.

I have allergies and I use aspen exclusively. Love it. It does need to be changed a bit more often than pine or other things, but it is worth it for me to not have an added smell that pine has.

I agree, I'm allergic to pine but the Aspen works great. And personally I've never seen my chin eat it.

Oh, my chins nibble on them when it is fresh, but have never had a problem stemming from that.

It's fine to use aspen. If they nibble on fresh bedding it is usually just that, a few nibbles and they are done. It is extremely rare that a chinchilla will sit down and make a meal of aspen shavings.
