It's a cutting machine for scrapbooking I believe but I don't scrapbook, I only heard my cousin talking about it.

I don't have one, but one of my best friends does. I know she said that she doesn't like having to pay so much for new cartridges. Also, the mat over time becomes un-sticky so you have to buy a new one. It just seems super expensive to me.

I don't have one but my friend does and she loves her. I don't do scrap booking because hubby said its too expensive hobby. LOL but i do cake decorating and i want to get the cricut cake machine

Alli, my friend uses the spray adhesive to make hers sticky again... might want to let your friend know!

I'm trying to convince my friend to get a new one, so I can buy hers, lol.

i have one! LOVE it. got it when it first came out several years ago. i have seen the orginal one for as low as 99 dollars. i have used the spray adhesive but i did also buy another sheet.
i ONLY buy my cartridges on sale or use a coupon at acmoore & michaels. i have also picked up cartridges at Big Lots & Walmart and both were reasonably priced.

i have a couple cool fonts. and when my scrap area is clean, I have it easily accessible and use if often.

I am a HUGE scrapper and actually owned (with partners) my own scrapbook getaway company in NJ. I have since resigned due to family commitements but I still attend the weekends and have one coming up in august.

Just as an FYI if you have a Michael's by you they had them on sale for 97 regularly 199 at mine today.

They're really neat. But they're just one of those things I wouldn't just go out and buy a new one very often. The cartridges are expenses.

I just got the current flyer from joann's and starting next week they have the original cricut, brand new for only 84 or 87 bucks! that is a good price.

they also have the cartridges on sale and you can also check ebay for good prices on used cartridges.
