<OPEN RANT>:banghead:I really hate it when someone on Craigslist says that they are going to sell me something, but when I text/email them they stop replying! I found a FN 142 for $100 and another one for $50...both people texted and acted like they were going to sell it, but now neither are replying. I NEED THIS CAGE! <END RANT>:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Has anyone else had a problem like this?

I have never had a problem with CL buying stuff, the sellers tell me its because of the the way I respond that gets me to the front of the line.

I have sold things on CL before and I'm the same way. The way a person responds makes a big difference. It's sad that people can't even take a moment to compose complete sentences when they send emails. If I have to read your email several times just to understand what the heck you're trying to say, I'm probably just going to delete it.

I won't reply to an email either if someone can't be clear. My favorite type of response is when someone tells you when they will be picking the item up. Excuse me? Nice of you to plan the transaction for me. Or if something is free, expecting you to travel a large distance to meet them. I just feel if the object is free someone should come to me, not the other way around. I'm often willing to go short distances (5-10 miles) if the person comes off the right way.

Oh, I know. I've sold many things on Craigslist as well. I've Posted puppies for adoption, but if a person cannot reply in complete sentences, I will not reply back. It was most likely not a good home for the puppy if the potential owner cannot compose a simple and clear message. That's why I make sure to reply in the way I would want replied to. It's just when the say they will sell me a cage and then just stop replying that it bothers me. There were two people with FN 142's, one for $100 and another for $50. They both said they would sell it and I haven't heard back from them. Now there is somebody that will sell me a FN 141. I was wondering if the 141's are big enough for one chin?

Aghhhh! Getting Vincenza was a PITA because the girl was a flake. And we want to adopt a little tan girl who's been up for a while (we're suckers) and buy a cage and uh, the cage guy won't e-mail me back! I want to give you money for something you are selling. Why don't you want my money?

Hee hee, I do that. It might be a little off putting but usually by the time I've made a decision to buy something it's like "ok, car booked, the one day we don't have plans, let's do this. I have money take my money and I will take the thing you are selling."

I don't like to mess about too much :)

I can't tell you how many times I haven't gotten responses for things I have e-mailed about on craigslist. Recently I scored a lot of pet supplies in perfect shape for $20 but she was one of the few people to actually contact me. I always respond quickly when I'm selling something because I like having money...for a few seconds. =P
