Covering Plastic Trays with Fleece?

I recently bought a ferret nation cage for my chin and it comes with plastic pans and shelves. Will it be okay if i completely cover the plastic with fleece liners? I made them such that they're sort of like a pillow case and covers the whole entire pan.

In addition, does she REALLY need the ladders? i mean chinchillas can jump pretty high and the shelves should give them enough height to jump from the first level to the second.

Yes, you can use the liners to cover the pans. And no, chins don't need the ladders, in fact they aren't very safe.

I use the plastic trays with the pillow case fleece covers also. I just made them extra long on the open end and pin them down tight underneath. My chin will dig and claw at the fleece like he going after buried treasure. I make sure the pins are hidden so there's no chance of danger to him.

I also use the pillow case style fleece liners, however the top side is longer than the bottom so that it can tuck under the pan.
