I think it's absolutely awesome. I'm a weirdo personally, but I'm not up for the conventional weddings. I think they're really outdated. I refused to get married in a church wearing a white dress, it's just not me. You couldn't pay me to do it. I'm all about being an individual and having fun. Why follow the 'standard' of getting married when you can really have something to remember? I have an attraction to vampires anyway so I guess I'm biased.

Why would they regret it? A lot of people do costume weddings. I did midevil and it was awesome. Also had the guests dress up (as many as could). One lady even borrowed a costume from the local theater group and came as the queen, bestowing blessings on every one and graciously waving at the crowd. It was a blast.

I'd love to do a theme wedding. I used to joke with Adam that we should forego the tradition and simply ask everyone to come dressed as pirates. His mom flipped her lid.

Maybe in the future, I'll find a guy who will jump at the chance to give the old "heave ho" to tradition and dress up in costume.

I plan to get married on a ship and so I doubt I will be able to stop some of my friends from dressing up. Oh well all the better! Lots of rum!

As for if she'll look back and regret it... she is 44 its not like she's eighteen and making a rash decision... Plus who wants to chat about boring old every day nuptuals... Now vampire wedding thats a converstion starter!

I love the idea! My Dad and step-mom were married on Halloween. We wore black dresses and the guys wore vests with their favorite sports teams under their tux. The guests all came dressed in costume and the usher was the grim reaper.

We had a great time decorating, and had a ton of stuff to choose from. The best part was after the reception. The wedding party went bar hopping and won a best group costume contest. No one believed that we were actually a wedding party. lol People still talk about their wedding; most people can't say that.

Now that sounds like fun!

I love the idea. I'm not a very stereo-typical person, and have always wanted something out of the ordinary. It would be awesome to do a costume wedding on Halloween. And a birthday party for my sister and I after:thumbsup:

This is probably the most unusual wedding I've heard of, but there are alot of die-hard vampire fans out there, and they stay that way for a looooong time, perhaps as long as they live. So I don't think they would regret it, if anything, they would think back and laugh about how fun it was. :)
