Hello! I have a 3 month old chin that has a conjunctival dermoid (an abnormal small patch of skin in the corner of the eye, likely had it when we got her at 8 weeks old). The dermoid had two hairs growing from it in the direction of her eye, and were poking the eye and irritating it. We had the hairs pulled by a wonderful exotics veterinarian, and the eye is looking great just a few days later - no longer pink & watery.

I am trying to find out if this is a heritable condition (not finding definitive results...), as we were hoping to breed this lovely girl in the future. If the dermoid hairs do grow back and again irritate the eye, the dermoid will have to be surgically removed. I do not want to breed if it is something likely to be passed on to her babies... what do you all think?

Does anyone have any experience with this condition? Thank you.
