Last night I accidentally got a tiny bit of coconut oil on my chinchilla's fur. There was a little bit on my hand without me noticing. Her fur got messed up and it looked like it was wet, so I gave her a sand bath.

The next day when I went to check on her her fur still looked the same as it did the night before, but it dried. It's kinda hard to explain.
It was like darker and kinda matted. She is acting fine and all. I was just wondering if i should be worried or if it'll go away over time? Is there anything I can do? I combed it through with a chinchilla comb, but she didn't enjoy that much..

Give her lots of dust baths. By the way, If you are using the stuff the pet stores sell as bath sand, you need to switch to anything that says it is Blue Cloud or Blue Sparkle. The sand does not do a good job of absorbing the oil in her fur.
