closed pyometra

I often wonder what are the signs, if any, for closed pyometra. Over a year ago one of my girls had an emergency spay due to pyo. A few months ago my other chin had discharge and was treated with antibiotics, but I had to see a vet who was clueless, so idk for sure what it was. So its just something I would like to know and I'm having trouble finding in in the forum.

Pyo normally shows in lethargy, lack if appetite and weight loss. Some will have a discharge, some don't. I would advise finding a good vet before you need one. Where in pa are you located?

I have a fantastic vet, who did an emergency spay on my one chinchilla. I was just curious about closed pyo because the chin who had pyo had no symptoms aside from a large amount of discharge.

If there was discharge it wasn't a closed pyo.... closed means there is no drainage and it's all contained inside

I am aware of that. What I'm asking is what are the symptoms of closed pyo. I have experienced opened pyo and its made me curious to know about closed pyo.

Same symptoms but no discharge to tip you off so it can get much worse before you realize there is a problem.
