Clear mucus around my female chinchilla's anus

Hi everyone, I noticed some clear mucus coming out of my chinchilla's anus. It is clear and does not have a smell. I only noticed because she seemed to be licking it off herself and I was wondering what she was up to. She seems fine otherwise. I'm slightly concerned so would appreciate any advice! I know I may be being paranoid but my chinchilla lost a leg a couple of months ago and I have been very protective since then.

um... are you sure it is from her anus? could it be she is going through a heat cycle and it is coming from her vagina?

I agree she is most like in heat and don't have anything to worry about.

Thanks for the reassurance guys! I never knew chinchillas could produce this during heat... feel pretty silly now. I will check her in a couple of days to make sure it has disappeared.
