My cage is 58" x 22" x 54" (lxwxh). I have 2 chinchillas in it.

2a.) If you use fleece liners, how often do you change them?
Every 3 days.

2b.) How often do you vacuum poop from inside the cage?
Also every 3 days.

3.) How often do you sanitize the entire cage (walls, floors, chin spin, everything)?
6 Month rotation.

4a.) How often do you provide fresh water?
Every couple of days.

4b.) How often do you clean the water bottles?
Monthly

5.) How often do you clean wood shelves? How do you clean them?
I vacuum them everyday. I wipe them down with vinegar every 2 months. I'm thinking I need to add in a peroxide every 6 months, but my boys aren't big shelf pee-ers.

6.) How often do you clean the chin spin/flying saucer?
I don't have one, so, never?

7.) How often do you clean fleece tubes, fleece huts, cuddle ledges, and other fleece accessories?
Depends on the item. I vacuum them all out everyday 3 days, but then I was on an as needed basis. Hammocks are every couple of weeks, fleece tunnels every few months.

8.) What products do you use to clean fleece?
I find just good quality laundry detergent and hot water leaves them clean and fresh smelling.

9.) What products do you use to clean metal parts of the cage?
A vinegar and water solution.

10.) How often do you clean the food dish?
I wipe it out whenever I feed. They don't pee or poop in it really, so I don't feel the need to wash very often. Maybe every few months?

11.) Is there anything else you think people should know about your chinchilla cage cleaning habits?

Not that I can think of. It's pretty straightforward.

Every other week, I spray it down with vinegar/water and do a wipe down of the walls.

I also vacuum it out every week.

Once a day, top it off in the morning

Sand down, once a month or less

Every other week, normally. It depends on her lower litter pan (not the one in the cage) and how dirty it is. Every time we change the shavings in the lower/big pan, we clean her cage.

Every 2-3 days

Whenever I refill them, so every 2-3 days

Sweep them every day, sand them down during full cage clean. If there is a puddle, then I'll soak it up and clean it with a vinegar solution before sanding.

Quick wipe down once a week.

Once a week. More if needed, but not usually.

High efficiency detergent.

Water and vinegar.

Once a week. I usually swap pellets once a week, top off the food daily.

Once or twice a week. It all depends on how often the girls use their litter pans.

Spot cleaning is important when since I use shavings.....shavings can be messy I clean the entire cage 2 times per week sometimes more because shavings + hay can look messy

Every three days I wash the liner and towel under them.

I sweep around her cage daily, then vacuum weekly.

Weekly.

Whenever her water bottle gets close to empty, it's not very big (and leaks a little) so every few days.

Probably not enough, but every week or so.

Every few days, at least once a week. I use 50/50 water and white vingear.

I don't have one yet, hopefully I'll be ordering one from online this week, I plan on cleaning it every few days.

Right now, I only have a fleece tube in her cage that she loves and a hammock which she doesn't use. I wash the tube cover at least once a week since she's in it a lot.

Regular detergent, nothing speical.

50/50 water and white vingear.

Probably not enough.. once a week at best.

Whatever room they are in for play time/ free roam time, remember to keep it clean! My chin loves my desk so she's always on it, makes a huge mess on it too with poo and dust from her bath, remember to clean those areas often for sanitary reasons!
