I am having doors put on the room my chinchillas are in so had to move them into a different room last night while construction is done today. I thought they would like it. It's the room I am in more. WRONG! They are acting so scared. Rocket is a statue and wont move. Thunder is doing better but both were barking thru the night and they never do that. Thunder didn't even bark when he first came to live here a couple months ago. Neither one would eat last night or today so far. I am worried . Hopefully they can go back in their roon tonight if the plaster from the door and walls isn't too stinky. It's not being painted yet. Thunder is on Baytril and was eating fine until this. I hope he will be ok.

Kristy [Starleomach] had a similiar problem when her Mothers house was re-sided - I thnk it's more the noise than the move! [maybe the combination]
IMO, back and forth would be worse! Maybe throw a sheet over them while noisy work is going on would help, and wait 'til the room is done before moving them back!

Well last night when i moved them there was no construction yet. Just being in a different room freaked Rocket out. It will be done tomorrow at the latest but i just hope they eat something. He wont even take his favorite treat or apple stick.

I did have a huge problem with siding being done on my parents house. I had several moms turn on kits. I have many usually calm animals freak out. How ever with the move to mu husbands house after the wedding (only 2 weeks after the siding) I had no issues.
