Chins and rats?

I have four female rats housed in the same room as my chins, my bedroom. They of course have no access to each other at all. I was just wondering if it was okay to keep them in the same room? I wash my hands between handling my rats and chins, and both use different rooms for playtime. My girls get the downstairs bathroom and my boys get the upstairs. Can my boys catch anything from my rats? Neither the chins nor the rats can get out of their cages and get to each other. Thanks for your help!
