My chin, a 5 years old female, is experiencing some weight fluctuation.

I went on an oversea trip recently and was away for about 4 weeks, and my chin stayed with a friend of mine. To make the change as easy as possible, I brought her cage and all her normal supplies over to my friend's place.

Her weight have been around 700 to 720 grams since summer of this year, and now she's down to 685-690 grams after I was away for a month.

Other than the weight loss, she's acting, eating, drinking, and pooping pretty normally.

Besides moving to a different environment(my friend's place), the weather have also changed a lot, it was around 70-80F when I left, and down to around 40F now. Although the indoor temperature is a lot more stable, but I suspect the weather change may have caused some impact on my chin as well.

Do you think this kind of weight loss is normal?

30-35 grams really isn't that much. If she is continuously losing over time, then it might be more of a concern. Moving to a new house, even though she was still in her cage was probably a little stressful and could have caused the loss. Keep monitoring her weight, and eating, drinking, peeing, and pooping. If she keeps losing or stops doing her normal activities, then she should see a vet. My boys seem to thin down a bit for summer and then gain some back for winter too, so that might be part of it too.

I would say its probably from the stress of moving. If she continues to loose weight then a vet visit is needed.
