Chinchillla not pooping but eating.

Hi there, I have just changed to fleece liners on my plastic shelves and my chinchilla doesn't seem to poop on them? And when I take him out he doesn't poop on the carpet, but he still eats and exercises. any ideas?

So is the chin not pooping at all or just not pooping on shelves?
