Chinchillas teasing other animals?

My chinchilla Mira has taken up to teasing my cats. The cats have no access to her. My basement door has glass panes and Mira plays in the basement when out of her cage. When the door is safety shut, sometimes I catch the cats watching her through the glass. She hops right up to the glass, stares at them, and runs away. She often repeats this several times in a row. I wasn't sure if she was teasing them or something else.

I try to keep the cats away from the door, but they keep returning.

My girls tease Muffin, my dog. When they are at playtime, they run up to and back and forth by the fence or playpen where she is. Then if muffin goes up to the gate or playpen, they run away. They know she will get scolded if she gets too close. They can be little buggers!

I had a 14 year old cat that one of my chins would throw sticks at. the cat would pick up the stick and bring it to us, yowling the whole way, so we could give it back to the chinchilla, just to have the chin throw the stick at the cat again.

my chins tease my cat occasionaly. though mainly they give him their hay for him to chew on and play with. they also pelt him with their poo

I have several chins that stick their noses out to try and bite one of my cat's tail. Some day they are going to succeed

My little chin teases my dog

when play time comes, my chin loves to sit right under the rocking chair where she can see all the action while in a safe place. I sit with her most of the time to make sure she is safe, and my jealous dog comes over to me to get some attention the chin is getting. My chin will then get very excited, stretch her body to sniff the dog, quickly scurry out from under the chair and lightly and ever so quickly tap, touch or "tag" my dog on her back leg or tail. My dog does not react much more than looking at what touched her, but it seems to give my chin so much joy to be that close to the dog, let alone ACTUALLY TOUCHING the dog. I think it's super funny and super cute, not enough to let it happen without supervision though.
