Chinchilla introduction

So wife and i had gotten a third chinchilla.
had the big 2 level ferret nation cage.
We imagined that the new guy would take some time getting used to the other 2 as seen with the fur pulling on the new one.
so we made sure they were seperate from the new one.
We wiped down the whole cage before putting either in the cage
But now even the 2 that were like best buds are fighting with each other now.
I was prepared for some issue introducing them. but now its like all 3 are fighting now and its really sad to watch. What is the best course of action here?

This is very common when trying to intro a newcomer to a previously bonded pair and is usually not recommended. What you experienced with all three now fighting with each other happens a lot. I would keep them all separated for a few days and try to intro the previously bonded pair to each other again. Act as if they have never met before. Search for introduction methods here and take it slow. I would not try for the trio again. However keep in mind the previously bonded pair may not accept each other and you may have 3 single chins now.
