Chinchilla hit his head

I think my chinchilla may have hit his head on something, he got out of the cage and fled to the kitchen, where I heard a thud, and when I got there he was just sitting still with his ears back, he didn't move when I went to pick him up, when he'll usually try to run away.

After a second he got a little energy back, crawled up on my shoulder but seemed to lose his balance and fall, I had to catch him.

Right now he's acting normal in his cage for when he's kind of tired, so I can't really tell if anythings wrong. Is he gonna be okay? I'm kinda freaked out by this, especially at this hour.

Keep an eye on him. He may have bounced off of a cabinet or something instead of hitting his head.

He may have just scared the heck out of himself and it took a minute to recover from it. Just watch him closely for the next couple of days and if he acts strangely, get him to the vet.
