Chinchilla has bald spot

Chinchilla has bold spot?
Found a bald patch well not really notice able you has to hold him up its on his right hind leg i don't know what to make of this should i wait to see if its grows back i remember seeing him lose some hair from somewhere on his body a few weeks ago he got some of his hair caught on a bar but he was ok after and i couldn't see where the hair had come of him how long should i give it before i go mental with worry and don't say go to a vet if its fungus because i know a treatment for that already

It would be helpful if you posted a pic. Gizmo once developed some mysterious bald spot on his nose. It had a tiny dot (like a scrape) in the middle so I assumed that maybe he rubbed his nose on the the cage bars and somehow fur-slipped. Fur grew back and nothing every came of it.

Try taking a picture, or be as descriptive as possible. I would also be wary to home medicate, you just want to be 100% certain you're treating for what it really is. And most of the time, only a vet can really tell.

I would probably take him to the vet and get it checked out. It's hard to tell what the cause could be from the picture you provided. It may not be anything to worry about, but its better to be safe than sorry. Also, I definitely wouldn't recommend treating it yourself before you actually find out for sure what it is.

Actually looks like he chewed it or licked it to the point that it is now bald. But it is hard to tell from the pic.
