Chin won't drink out of normal water bottle. Please help!

My family has been watching my friends chin for several weeks now and we love her to death. She is still very young and has grown a lot since we got her. When they dropped her off the cage had both a water bottle and a water bowl in it. They said that she wouldn't drink out of the normal one. It worked fine until three days ago she filled it up completely with food. Now she goes to the bathroom in it several times a day as well. I don't know what to do about it because she simply refuses to drink out of the bottle. Should I just start taking the bowl out for a few hours and see if she gets used to it or what? Also, any ideas why she might be doing this all of a sudden? Thanks in advance!

Break open a raisin and rub it on the tip of the water bottle. The smell should attract her to it. Take out the dish because she will just continue to make a mess with it. Chins don't drink much water so mark the water level with a marker of a piece of tape. That way, you will know if she is drinking it. As far as the "why", no one knows; chins do strange things.
