Which one do you like and which one do the chins like better? Also, do you have to order over the internet to get these or can you find them at pet stores? or any type of store?

Both are available online only. I don't know of any store that sells them. I got my Chin Spin at Quality Cage, and I got my Flying Saucer from Craigslist. I got lucky on that one. My chins seem to enjoy both, but the Flying Saucer seems to take more time for them to adjust to. Also, it's the more expensive of the two. Both make noise, but I found the Chin Spin was easier to attach to the cage.

i have a chinspin and both i and noelle love it. it was kind of expensive, yes, but it lasts literally forever and its pretty quiet even with a wire cage. noelle's cage is in my room and i don't have any trouble w/ noise and the wheel. i got mine from quality cage.

i've never tried the flying saucer, it seems too big and complicated for my taste, although many people have one and love it.

its all personal taste imo. :]

 grace + noelle

yes I believe I would get a chin spin out of those two but its all about taste :D

I have both, but my chins and I both seem to prefer the chin spin. I think it's easier for them to figure out, but it's really a personal preference.

OK, I am the lone dissenter :)

I have a bunch of flying saucers and one chin spin. I am a huge fan of the saucer wheels because I feel like it gives a more natural running surface. Plus, mine have held up to wear and tear very well. The chin spin is noisier than the saucer wheel in my experience. But the saucer takes up a lot more floor space, so that is a consideration, as well.

Both are well made and will do the job just fine. I think you really can't go wrong with either one.

I got my flying saucer about a week ago and I've set it up in the cage. My chins seem scared of it or something though. They don't even try to use it or jump onto it at all. I know in the beginning they were curious and jumped onto it a few times but it seemed to move too fast for them when it started spinning when they tried to move on it, which seemed to scare them. But I'm thinking it probably takes more than a week for them to adjust to it anyways. I don't know though, it doesn't look like they're "adjusting" when they won't even touch it now.. Anyone have any experiences like this?

Tinkerbell started using her saucer as soon as I put it up and a year later, she still uses it several times a day. It is the best investment I've made for her.

Maddie figured out the saucer in about a week, she uses it everyday. Mitzie... well I think she just doesn't care about it. I agree it takes up a lot of space and had I known about the chin spin (got the saucer before I joined this group) I think I would have gotten the chin spin, mostly because it is cheaper and takes up less space.
