Chin rubbing my nose?

Recently I had to change where my chins have their play time and my bedroom became the victim after some major chin proofing.
While laying in bed watching tv, Tinker decides to jump on my bed and got in my face and started nosing me with her nose (either she's giving me kisses on my nose or just nosing me). I'm looking at her all weird and wondering why she's doing this, she starts rubbing her nose with her paw then she starts rubbing my nose with her paw. I tried not to laugh, but couldn't hold it and when I did she bounced away. She came back later and did this a few times.
Now I've heard chins rub each other's noses to get to know each other, but rubbing a human's nose? Does any of your chins do this or is mine just an oddball?:hmm:

Her sister Sparkles bit my nose before too. They tried to escape when I opened their cage, since my hands were full trying to block Tinker, I put my face in front of Sparkle to block her BAD IDEA! :banghead:

yeah i did the mistake of leaning against his cage when i was trying to retie the water bottle on a different cage (one of my chins likes to take the hooks from the water bottle and hide it so the water bottle goes on the floor. and shes ripped the hooks off the spring water bottle latch so the water bottle has to be all tied up. talking like triple knots) the other chinchillas would rather play with my hair then even attempt to rub noses with me.>.>

The best are nose rubs with chirps. I don't get the often but I love it when I do.

Major chin proofing i would think is an understatment. How were you able to do that? I no the way my chins chew and explore, the only way to proof against them would be remove everything; Expecaly since most room have wires or some sort these days.

My male chins like to rub noses through his cage bars when im rubbing his stomic. Then he'll start gently nibbleing my nose.

My chinnies let me kiss their noses and will poke their nose through the cage bars so i can kiss them Lola has started to rub her nose with mine but it is rare !! Congratulations

All the wires have been zip tied and hidden behind the dresser and it's not visible nor accessible to them. Some wires I had to do a under carpet hiding (not fun btw). As for the little holes under the dresser, I roll up pillow cases or mini towels to prevent them from getting under there. Also used wood blocks to block off areas that they can get under the bed and couch. I also put boxes to block off any wall plugs so they don't attempt to explore it(makes great jumping ledges too). I just make sure there's nothing laying around that's accessible to them to chew up. Took me a while to cut the wood to fit and also the rewiring but it's well worth it for them to play in it. Lots and lots of things for them to jump on and off for. :dance3:

So overall I take it nose to nose and rubbing her paw on my nose is a good thing. Sweetness!

Nixi puts her little hands on the tip of my nose and shoves my head back so the she can get underneath to give me a nibble. Boji does the same thing without the shoving. Maia and Buddha prefer to do eskimo kisses rather than nibbles, but if I say "I love you", I'll get my nose nibbled.

The weird one for me is the eyelid nibbles. Only Nixi and Boji will do that, and they're incredibly gentle about it. They put both hands under my eye and lean in ever so slowly, touching their teeth very lightly to the eyelid before pulling away. I giggle, they popcorn, and all is right in the world.

Oh cute, eyelid licked. You're a brave one, call me chicken but I would freak out if they go near my eyes hehehe.
