Chin pulling up the liners

My little chin (9 weeks old) just today started pulling up his liners whenever I don't look. He seemed fine with them for the past week. I am scared that he will get his foot stuck overnight on the wire underneath (we have the feisty ferret cage).

Thinking of buying little anchors for all 4 sides of the liner to secure them....better ideas?

Some have used velcro or magnets to secure them, but that introduces plastic and the magnets into the cage which could be chewed and swallowed. Just looking at the cage, since you are using liners and not using the bottom tray, I would put some fine hardware cloth on the levels' bottoms and secure it some way (glue or something like that). That way even if he does get under the liner, he is not walking on wire.

I've done quick modifications to my liners in a pinch, I cut 2 slits in the underside at each corner (assuming its double layered fleece) and slipped a cutting of fleece through. And weaved and tried that cutting to the wire flooring. Its not as sturdy as sewn attachments or grommets, but its a quick fix.
