yesterday we noticed when mom got up the other three started moving around a lot, but angel a female kit set there she was weak and had blood on her ears from the other kits bullying her. so we started hand feeding her and she was getting back to normal fighting the others for a tit. so we figured she was going to be ok and went out to work about 1:30am and returned about 4:15 or so to check on her and the others. we found a heavy ceramic dish about 1.5 inchs laying on top of her neck and shoulders. i quickly removed it and found her still alive. so the issue is that she can move her legs some but not stand but wont open her mouth to eat, but is breathing. i really thought she was going to die like 10 or 15 minutes after i found her, but we have held her close in the palm of our hands and told her we love her and prayed for her to be healed and recover. i hate to see her suffer but i dont want to put her down if she can
make it. she has more spirit in her than i have ever seen!!!!!!

Whoa there, hold on, bubs. It is quite possible that the folks who viewed your thread had NO idea what kind of advice to offer. This forum is home to many pet owners, not just breeders. Furthermore, do NOT blame this forum for your kit's death.

Your kits were born almost a week ago. You joined this site in May. There was NO reason you hadn't been over the breeding section and knew what to expect if the kits started fighting. YOU waited until the last minute, when there is no advice that could've been given to save this kit, to ask for help.

For the record, you should've already known that fighting in a litter of quads is very common and you should've been prepared to rotate, handfeed, and whatever else you needed to do to help this kit survive.

I hope the other three and mom are doing well, and I'm sorry this kit didn't make it, but take some responsibility for yourself also.

We also are not veterinarians and there is absolutely nothing anyone here could have done in this situation rather than tell you to take her to a vet, which you should definitely have if you are breeding.
