So I got a new chin (Rico) recently and he has been in the large cage with my other chin (Marty) for about 3 weeks now but 4 days ago he figured out that he can squeeze through the bars and escape! He only seems to escape at night while I'm asleep too the little bugger.
As you can see in the picture the bars are about 30mm apart.
Rico is about 4 months old and weighs 330g whereas Marty is just over a year old and weighs 440g. Marty has been in the same cage since he was about 4-5 months old and has never escaped.
Basically I'm after suggestions on temporary solutions to prevent him from escaping while he's young. In a few months time I imagine he will be too big to fit through the bars. Until I get something sorted he will be spending nights in the smaller cage (60x60x35cm) which is not ideal.
