One of my male chins I saved over the winter has really bad fur. He lost it in tufts because of poor diet. It's come back nice, but all underneath is mated. Ive tried brushing him but he's got dried pee on his belly from sleeping in it. I know you're not supposed to get them wet so a bath is out of the question. Any suggestions?

You can bathe a chin, you just have to be careful how you do it. Crysta (Essentia on here) has a chin that she has to bathe weekly because of a urinary issue and he does fine. You just need to be sure not to use overly warm water, use a very mild soap, make sure he's thoroughly rinsed, and be sure to thoroughly dry him with a blow dryer on low cool. It is going to take a while to get him dry, so set several hours aside and count on him not enjoying it very much. Keep the water out of his ears, eyes, nose, and mouth and he should do fine.
