Chin houses

Do chins prefer to have small, snug houses or would they prefer a house with like, a bit of room? I found a small wooden nestbox that looks like it'd be just snug enough for 1 chinchilla, but would they prefer something a bit more spacious?

My chin doesn't go inside her house at all, but uses it to sit on top of. She likes her tube or fiddle sticks. It seems she likes something with an opening at both ends.
