Does anyone know if there is a problem if a chin doesn't play out of the cage for two days?

I'll probably be away for a few days in the summer, not longer than 2 and I would like to know if I can leave her home alone or if I have to take it to a friend's home. Of course I'll leave her water and food enough for those 2 days.

Sorry for my english, it's not my mother tongue. Please help me, I never left her alone and I don't know if she needs to get out of the cage every single day.

I personally would never leave any animal home alone for two days. The air conditioning could go out, the water bottle could empty or break. Getting out to play is the least of her worries. If you have a friend who can watch her, that would be a lot safer than leaving her alone for two days. It won't hurt her to stay in her cage. Many chins don't get out of their cage for play time ever. Ask your friend if they would mind keeping her for a few days, so you know she'll be safe.

If we're gone for longer than 24 hours we get a pet sitter.

I do the same. I have a friend that has a chin and she takes care of mine when I have to go out of town. I've had two things happen since having my girls that have given me a reason to never leave my girls for over 24 hours. 1st I had a plastic water bottle they chewed through and it all leaked (I have switched to glass). I also had a water bottle that somehow got plugged up or air locked so no water would come out of the end. Both occurrences made me realize over 24 hours alone can lead to problems.

I'm going away for 2 days also and someones gunna come and check on my chinchilla. i've gone away for 3 days once and someone came and checked on him and he totally bit through a plastic water bottle, making it leak everywhere, then the pet sitter went a bought a new one, and he bit through that one, until she finally got a glass one. he doesnt do well being left alone especially someone else feeding him.

Thank you for your help! I'll leave her with a friend to make sure everything will be okay with her. I thought they had to play every day, because since I have her, I let her out of the cage 15 to 30 minutes every day, but if there's no problem if she doesn't go out every day, I'll probably keep her in her cage during the hotest days too :)

Even though my son was home I hired a friend of my daughter's to come over twice a day to feed the gang and check up on everyone. It was worth the money I paid her to know that all the baby birds were being checked on and given their special diet.

If the cage is big enough, a chin doesn't really need play time outside of the cage. But if the cage is pretty small, I think some play time would be good :)
