Chin colors

Inca was a PEW with papers from a breeder. He is getting gark grey hair around the base of his tail and on his head....kinda mosaic looking?? Is this normal?

Are you sure the hairs are grey and not dark beige? Several of my PW's have some beige in them.

Easiest way to tell is his ear and eye color. If he has pink ears and red eyes, he's a pink white.

His ears have greyish speckles (liver spots) all over them??

Freckles? Chins that carry the beige gene (pink whites do) can have freckles.

All of my beige variants have them..here is my tan with a lot of freckles.

Yes, Inca has Freckles!! Your tan is too cute! Inca does have pink ears and red eyes....so it's normal for a PW to have some color with the white?

My pink white has a big beige spot on his side. It's normal. It can appear to have a greyish hue.

Yes, as long as that color is beige and the ears are pink and eyes red/pink. A PW is a white crossed with a beige and all beiges and variants of them can have freckles. They can also have beige markings just like a mosaic.

The white gene is what's called an 'incomplete dominant', so whatever other mutation/color a white chin has in it's makeup is going to 'poke through' in it's phenotype. Pink whites, white mosaics, white violet, white sapphires, white ebonies, etc etc... they all have mosaic markings. This is also why the patterns on each white is so unique, as the white mutation is 'weak' at different areas, allowing the other color to show through. This is why your PW (white/beige) has beige markings. )

Yep, that's a pink white. No question about it. The beige areas are normal.

I agree that he is definitely a pink white. The veiling that you question is beige in color.
