I have a very basic cage atm for my 4 chins and i am looking to either buy or make my own. Thing is over here buying them is just plain expensive and you don't have much of a choice. I love your ferret nation cages and i can get one for 320euro (476USD) :tantrum:

I have read thread upon thread on here and got SO many ideas. For bridges, stairs, ledges and everything else just a bit stumped on what to do on the cage. I have a roll of wire so all i'll need is wood, screws, glue and anything else which probably would work out cheaper. Where can i get a plan for doing this? Cause i don't know where i would start. I have access to drills, dremels etc!

On the other hand i have a very large dog crate i could rewire (2inch gap between the wires atm) and do up as a cage for them. But its long rather then tall and i know how much they like to jump and climb.

Could anyone point me in the right direction please

Can you get melamine in Ireland? Sorry if that's a dumb question! I know quite a few people have made their own cages out of melamine. They're super heavy, but they look nice and last a long time.

Here's two things I found for plans on building melamine cages

And then Kindra sells a plan to make a cage for $5

Yeah we can, i had to ask my mam but was pretty sure myself

Thank you for the links!

Can the chins not eat that and become ill? Or how do you stop them getting the chance to do that? I saw a post somewhere on google that someone made a melamine set up and they chewed a nice big hole and you could see the wood then.
