Hello! I just adopted two male chinchillas a few days ago. My beige male (Albus) is 2 weeks older than my ebony male (Kingsley). The reason I'm posting is because my ebony male is acting odd. He stays in his house all the time and if I go near him he "tsk" at me. I can tell it's a warning. What can I do to help him become more sociable, relaxed, and friendly?

Play some soft music all the time. Talk to him. Make slow movements. He will begin to realize that your hands bring food. When he stops making his warning sound at you, you could start offering him a treat in the palm of your hand. Just leave your hand still and wait and see if he comes. If not, keep talking to him in a calm voice and try again later :) he will just need some time to adjust to new sounds, scents, and you :)
