Although not too bad, right here, there's been a lot of bad weather in the area for the past couple of weeks, and more coming!
Flooding stopped 3 expressways and even trains, dead in their tracks, making the ride home a 3-4 hr. experience last Friday!
Been like every couple of days since!
Some areas of Chicago took almost 3 days to get electric back, as there were over 2000 trees blown over, due to 65+ MPH winds, clocked by radar!
Couple of tornados touched down in the South suburbs, but, thankfully no injuries!
Was awoken @ 4:15 this morning by another round, lots of thunder and lightening, and lost power for about 15 seconds - just enough to have to re-set all the PIA digital stuff!
And there's more coming this afternoon, thought to be worse, as it picks up heat and humidity today! Supposed to be mid 90's with 80+% dew points!
Thankfully, we have CAC here!
Hope everyone else in the area is O.K., too!

Rick,

Our marine weather warnings went off all night here at Snap-on! Sorry but it was annoying as all get out. Nancy--my coworker--and I watched watched doppler radar from 11pm and watched the whole storm come in from Iowa and just dwindle on down. We had some rain, some lightening here in Racine/Kenosha but no big storms. Unfortunately you guys got hit--probably because it's Bear country (sorry I couldn't resist)

Hope everyone in the Chicago area is safe throughout the weekend.

At least we don't have GREEN bays - yuuuuuck!

[gotcha back! haha]
