i take hanging toys out when there isn't anything on it, or when theres like half left.
and i rotate every time i clean cages (so once a week). and i add atleast one new hanging toy every time i clean too. toss toys and sticks get destroyed so they just come out every morning when i vaccum.

As long as the chins are still interested and chewing them, I leave them in. Spoiled brats usually chew the bark off and then they are done with it!

That's my chin she is so spoiled ,She chews the bark then shes done, she won't chew her hanging toys at all . That's mostly why I was asking because she's had a few toys from Petco some apple sticks and two k bobs with colored blocks in her cage for 2 weeks and she's only nibbled them. I'm worried she's not chewing as much as she should ,what should I do ?

When all the bark is gone from the top of the hanging sticks, I turn it over and then they can chew it the rest of the way, lol. Reversible toys! Last twice as long!
When it's completely debarked, I replace them. Each cage has at least 2 hanging toys, and I made little wooden toy boxes for them, and every night I throw in some twigs, willow, pine blocks, etc. in there so they can dig and choose.
