I'm looking at a college that I'm interested in (even though I'm a sophomore) and on the list of approved pets in the residence halls it says "chapman chinchillas" is that a specific time of chin or something? It's very confusing.

That's what I was thinking but I'm not sure. You would think they would have just said chapman chinchillas. It's K-State university. Does anybody know anyone who kept a chin with them there in the residence halls or if they allow cages as big as FNs? There wasn't any listed habitat size restrictions.

Chapman chinchilla is just name recognition for any domestic chinchilla. It would mean that you are allowed any domesticated chinchilla.

In that case, it's definitely something you'll want to look into, as I have a portable AC and they take up a lot of floor space. Just something else to consider. :))
