Does anyone have a picture, illustration, or description of a chin's cecum pellet?

It's pretty uncommon to see cecum pellets as a healthy chinchilla will consume them. I have seen my chins produce them early in the morning though and they eat them almost immediately, right as they are coming out. They're softer than normal poos and moist but not like diarrhea which will not hold a shape...

Similar then to normal fecal pellets and not anything like a grape-like cluster?

Thank you.

Sometimes they look like they are small clusters and sometimes they just look like smaller soft poos. It's hard for me to see because they just reach down and grab it as it comes out.

Thanks for the reply. You are doing better than me, I can't see them at all. I wonder if they have been seen at a necropsy.

If you handle them midday for a few minutes they tend to leave a couple behind (especially if you pick them up a few times and they leave them while getting out of your hands). They look a bit different, not as smooth as regular poos....sometimes lighter, too. I have seen really big ones (soft) come out, too. I don't think they look like grape clusters (they aren't THAT lumpy, just a tiny bit).
