OK, I dont know what else im going to do. I need help from at least 1 person near me who can pay for my chinchilla to get her eye looked at from a vet. I am currently unemployed and I don't have the cash up front (no vet will let me do a payment plan because i dont have a job). If you will do me this HUGE favor I will pay you back as soon as I get a job (you will get my whole paycheck for as long as it takes to pay off the bill. Once I get a job). I will sign a contract if you want.
I dont have a vet for my chins but there is one in greenville (20 mins from my house) that was recommended to me by somebody on this forum. But I am also willing to go to a vet that you choose.
I dont expect for it to take me long to get a job because i am in the middle of spartanburg, South Carolina.
I Really dont want to give my chins up. I bought them for myself as a graduation present. I saved up all my money for a year to buy them (i had no job, it was birthday money Christmas money Easter money etc...). I have only had them for 5 weeks. They are my babies! And if the sick one goes then I will have to give up the other one because they will both stop eating and call for each other non stop, I tried to separate them when the one got sick, just in case, but it didnt work too well...

Do you have a credit card you could maybe put the vet bills on? Or have you tried applying for Care Credit?

I hounded every member of my family when my dog got sick, and I didn't ( and still don't) have a job. Luckily I get unemployment so I was able to cover some of her Vet bill myself. Although her bills were around $2,000. Try your local humane society they may be willing to help you as well.

All of the above is good advice, please check into them ASAP. You should be able to find some solution.

Thank you guys so much! I will look into the carecredit. I was planning to call the humane society today and see if they could help (havnt done it yet) and I will look into those organizations huffnpoof!
I got a little money from my grandma. I dont keep in real good contact with the rest of my family. I live with my aunt right now but she really cant help ether...

well, carecredit wont approve me, I tried. I don't have any credit so they wont... gurr!
I checked into those organizations but they are all for life & death situations...
Im going to call a vet tomorrow and make an appointment to just bring her in and get her checked out. Hopefully they will be able to help me. Or point me in the right direction. Thats the only thing that I can do...
She should have X-rays of her teeth also but i know that I cant afford that :(

If you can't afford care for this chin then the most humane thing to do may be to volunteer it to a rescue organization that can get it the care that it needs.

Agreed. I understand you saved to cover the adoption cost, but the cost of caring for an animal through sickness and health is so much more, and it sounds like you aren't prepared for that. I know you don't want to give up your pet, but this chin has been ill for awhile and its not humane to let it suffer.
