I wake up this morning, coughing, headhack and all my boddy aches. Looks like the clu or the cold. Since I'm taking care of the chin I know I have to ear a mask. I only have one and it's been used. I'm wondering if it's ok to use it again or should I buy more. I'm wondering how much do they cost (I kinda snuck them in my purse last time I went to the hospital *shy*)

You can pick up masks at a hardware store, or medical supply store. But I do not think it would hurt to re-use a mask

You would be the only one it would hurt. The masks are designed to keep things from getting in or out (other than oxygen). I don't think it would hurt the animals to reuse, but depending on what you were/are sick with, you might want to consider having couple around and rotating them.

well that's my ex-bf's mask when he got a pneumonia at the begening of the month. It's been resting in my room since then. I think I'll just use that one tonight cause I'm SOOO tired, I came to work only cause I have so much things to do.

I reuse my mask all the time when I am dusting or cleaning, but I would probably replace it if I was sick. I would just buy a cheapie version for that time and save my more expensive, ventilated masks for routine work.

I wouldn't re-use if it has illness cooties in it.

I got a 10-pack of masks at our local dollar store. That way if I'm sick, I can toss one and still have several more in case I need them later.

My parent drove me to the pharmacy, I had to buy flu med anyway, so I took maks. They are freaking expensive like 5$ for 2... At least I'm leaing better today and I don't have any feever.

BTW Jean Marie, what's cooties?

It's a word kids used to use to describe germs, or, pretty much anything they felt was nasty. Like "Ewwww, Jean Marie has COOTIES!"

:tease::rofl: Sorry, this was too funny to pass up! Poor Jean Marie.
Actually, I hear this word in my house almost every day, with an 8 & 10 year old around, especially during flu & lice season, yuck!

well english is my second language...that's not the kind of word they tought me in school!

Didn't want you to misunderstand, I was laughing at the definition of cooties made by Tunes using Jean as an example. Not poking fun at you for not knowing what cooties meant, just wanted to clear things up :)

Sorry, sometimes I talk like a 7 year old, hazards of adoring and living with one :winkers:. I have some pretty nasty cold cooties right now so watch out Peggy or I'll come and visit you :neener:!

I know you didn't want to poke fun at me, I just wanted to clear that up...because sometime a lot of people assume that all Canadian speak english as a first language and it's not the case.
