I am planning on keeping my chinchilla, Mira's, little daughter ( Marika). Will Mira always recognize Marika as her daughter? Or will Mira's two male kits recognize each other as family once weaned? I know males and females will breed no matter their relation.
Can chinchillas recognize family members of their own kind?

No. Once separated, they may never get along again (sometimes they don't get along before or after weaning, either). And, even if they did...it wouldn't be because they're blood related.
