Is the Midwest Critter Nation Small Pet Double Unit Habitat alright for a chinchilla? http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12458305&f=PAD/psNotAvailInUS/No
I just want to make sure everything is alright for this little guy I am adopting at the end of the week. Sorry if there have been previous posts about this. I could not find one.

Its a good cage. Just take out all of the plastic and you should be fine.

Critter nations and ferret nations seem to be some of the most popular cages. Bass equipment sells metal ferret pans that mostly fit these cages to replace the plastic. They fit the ferret nation perfect and are an inch off for the critter nations but that usually isn't a problem. Mine ate giant holes in the plastic pans before I got them. They haven't chewed much on the shelf pans though. Most remove the ramps and shelves then replace with wood ledges but Bass is supposedly working on a metal shelf pan too.

Some people also cover their plastic pans and shelves with fleece.
