I tried meshing a ferret cage for Mira's two boys, but ended up putting them in a smaller cage that is 14 inches by 24 inches. The meshing was so sharp when I was finished I was afraid to put them in the cage. I cut and scratched myself several times while putting the cage together. I didn't want to put the kits in any danger. They will be in the smaller cage for a week or two until they go to their new home.

About 18 inches I believe.

This is the cage:

Snuggles is standing on the food bowl, so he had a few extra inches. I wish I had something bigger, but the meshing just seems dangerous :/. They will have a huge cage when they are adopted though. They will have a chinchilla Townhome.

I used that cage for Bailey and Jameson over christmas break. they did fine.
