I just upgraded from a starter cage to the Feisty Ferret cage. I inspected the cage before and during assembly and was unsure of how sturdy the thing is.
Does anyone know how much weight the bars can take? Could it support a 2x6x12" ledge or would that put too much of a moment on the bars? The three wood shelves that I made run the full length / width of the cage so the bars support only a vertical load, not a bending or flexing one. I want to make shorter ones that go only part of the way but at the same time don't want to break the cage.
