Cage Question

I have been doing lots of research and reading and lurking around here because I will soon like to pick up a chin for the first time... I have been looking around at cages, and was wondering if this would be a sufficient cage for 1 chin? Thanks!

Size-wise, yes, that's plenty for one chin. You'd need to remove all of the ramps and replace all of the wire shelves with wooden ones though. I would also recommend locking down every door so that your chin couldn't escape. They'll figure those bird doors out in no time. Beyond that, I'm not sure if the bars are strong enough to support a chin-spin, sliver-surfer, or similar wheel. They look pretty thin. The bar spacing is also too narrow for you to be able to pet your chin through them, if that matters to you. Personally, I'm partial to Ferret Nations. They're good, sturdy cages that last forever. For 1 chin the FN 141 is plenty big. It's on sale at ferret.com for $84 + $5.99 for shipping and if you do a google search for ferret.com coupons you could find one to take a few dollars off the price.

Exactly! You can always stalk your local Craigslist as well. Sometimes you can find some really amazing deals on there.
