Life has been hectic lately and I am trying hard to take things a little at a time.
I am getting married May 30th, just a little over a month away and there is still so much to do! (If anyone knows where I can get a beautiful tiara and jewelry for myself, that'd be great! And reasonably priced please.) On top of that I'm trying to get through my college classes, which are tough because I've been so overwhelmed with everything else I'm slipping in my school work. I'm desperately trying to maintain my great gpa and I'm worried about that.
Now to add to the pile, we are moving to a new place. It's bigger than where we are, cheaper rent, beautiful inside and out, and it's an actual house! So we are excited but now we are packing like mad (or I should say I am, since the fiance works most of the time) and trying to get everything else done. We can move things in as early as this weekend.
Wish me luck! I'm trying to do things one step at a time...though I'm sure I may need to have quite the drink when this is all done! :p

Weirdly enough, my cousin got some pretty jewerly from latin shops and from china town. lol And of course they were very reasonably priced. Other than that, perhaps ebay, or mom-and-pop shops in the mall, or mall vendors (you know, those little mobile cart/stores that are in the middle of the walkways at malls?).

Hope things settle down for you. Just think, in 2 months ALL of the stress will be over!! :)

I'm hoping so. Luckily we can start moving stuff in this weekend, and once we can start doing that it should go pretty quickly. Then it's on to wedding planning and finishing school for the semester. *takes a deep breath* I'm trying. thanks for the good luck wishes.

If you live near a big city, you can find very pretty and inexpensive jewelry pretty much all over the place. I have several (lots and lots) of cousins & family who are either celebrating communions, weddings, sweet 16's, baptisms, etc. this time of year. We shop all the time for great deals on party favors, jewelry, dresses, salons, etc. I don't think its weird to find pretty jewelry from ethnic shops, in a lot of latin cultures they celebrate Sweet 16's (Quinceñera in spanish) almost exactly as a wedding. You can easily make a veil and add it to a tiara. We have found alot of our accessories & tiaras from these latin shops as well as Michaels arts & crafts store, Joann fabrics store, Claires (found in malls). Other great shops are dollar stores, and on-line shops such as ebay or just google what you are looking for. Hope this helps, and good luck and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I got my tiara at H&M ($9) and my jewelry at Target in the cases. It was beautiful (fake pearls and diamonds - matching necklace and bracelet) and matched my off-white dress perfectly. I'd be happy to loan you any of it if you're interested! Let me know and I can dig up some photos for you.
