Buster - the Rescued Greyhound

[Azure Chinchillas]

Just thought I would share a few pics of Buster my ex-racing greyhound.

He has a prey-drive that is not de-trainable - so we have to take a few precautions with him, as he hunts anything that moves (including small dogs) - but he is fab with people.

I love him very much.

He's gorgeous. I know quite a few people with ex-racers, they are wonderful dogs.

So nice that he can have a happy and peaceful retirement! He looks like a great dog. Does he still have that drive to run? I have a doberman and he runs like a grey hound. It's incredible to watch him go. I can't imagine what a grey hound's energy must be like...

He is a looker. I love the white greys w/ brindle markings. He looks very similar to my greyhound , other then having a bit more white to him! Enjoy him.. Greys are amazing dogs!

He is eating a large bit of cow shin-bone.

He gets raw meat and bones as part of his diet.

My grandpa works at a race track, so I watch them race almost everyday. They look amazing when they run.

Oh I know they don't need a lot of "space" I just meant that with the four dogs I already have I don't have enough room for another. After all, we can only fit so many dog beds on the floor )
