for all of those with bridges in their chin's cages, are you ever worried about your fuzzbutts pinching their toes or catching a leg between the slats/logs? i've been tempted to either buy or build a bridge for Rhino but this is what keeps me hesitant.

input please and thanks!

I've only purchased camphorchins.com (alli713) bridge and it is really well made. The bridge is flexible but once you bolt it on the cage it stays put so there is no shifting of bridge parts whatsoever.

Poo, I can't remember who I got my bridge from, but my experience is the same as Sandi's. I have no issues or concerns whatsoever. I love it!

As long as there are gaps in the bridge it should be safe. I have 2 bridges in 2 of my cages and have no issues. The slats are tight and there is no chance of a leg getting caught.

I'm not a fan at all of the bridges with the colored beads between the slats. Yes, it might make it cuter but it's a disaster waiting to happen.

Bridges are fine as long as there are no gaps at all between the slats.

I built a bridge and there was some space between the slats, and one of my boys kept dropping a leg through it. I took it out and turned it into ledges. Not worth the risk.

that's exactly part of my worry Crysta. those bridges are darn cute, but the spacing seems just right to me for a foot to go through.

one of my ideas may be to use one of the largest log houses from petsmart, not bend it quite so much as you would to make a house out of it, and anchor it as a bridge or possibly a platform swing. what do y'all think of that?

I have a bridge in one of my cages with no space between the slats. It hangs and when moved the slats do not pinch (i've "bounced" my own hand on it a bunch of times to test it). The only time it would ungulate to pinch is if they were bouncing in place more than twice.

I agree with others, that's why when I make the squiggle bridges I don't leave gaps, that's just waiting for a leg to get caught. I really don't trust the bridges with the gaps in them, with chins bouncing around they can easily get caught and hurt themselves.

I'm sure you could use the fiddlestick house as a swing if you made it sturdy enough. Making a bridge out of it may be a bit more difficult.

I have one of Ashley's suspension bridges. I don't think she has a thread anymore, but you could PM her if interested. There are no gaps between the slats:
