I know there's J & J and I don't know if they are still breeding but I found Pioneer Valley Chins when I was looking since one of my teachers told me my advisor's daughter is a chin breeder.

EDIT: I forgot about this website. I've been trying to find breeders to find a place to board my chin for spring break. You could also try emailing rescues to see if they know of good breeders in the area.

The city is called Taunton, Ma. I am a pet/hobby breeder in Tn. My niece up in Ma. who is 16 would like to get a chin, but from what I'm finding out.....you can't mail a chin & it's quite expensive to send one by air after you get a health certificate etc. Must be stressful on the chin too. I may drive up & visit sometime, but not sure when & she really would like to get one soon. Any other ideas? How does this chinchilla railroad work & do you know how to get in touch with them? Thanks

You could try Cheryl at Poetrue's Pets - she's in East Hartford CT, about 2 hours from your niece. She's been great to deal with.

Hi. I am still breeding and I'm located in Lawrence, MA. I don't however have any available chins at this time. I've purchased chins from Annie at pioneer valley chins and cheryl from Poetrue they both have wonderful animals. Jeanne

Did anyone have a hard time getting consistent communication from them? It seems they hardly pick up the phone and don't tell you when its best to call. I have some questions for the pioneer valley chinchillas and it seems hard for them to give me an answer. The way they are replying to emails and taking calls I would give them 2 out of 5 considering they want me to come next week. Also it's not flexible as o when you can pick them up. But it's just difficult because I really can't speak directly to them nor are they making it easy for me to get in contact.

I would try cheryl at poetrues pets. I've never had any problems with her. It does take her a few days to get back to you but her chins are always friendly and healthy.
