While I know we are not a health related forum, this particular story is just too scary not to let women know about. Apparently it knows no boundaries when it comes to age. A 16-year-old girl died from it and a 64-year-old woman died from it.

I have never heard of this before, even with being a transcriptionist for 25 years, or if I did, the connection was never made that it's breast cancer. This link is about IBC, inflammatory breast cancer. You should watch it and the others there as well and become aware of this.

I wouldn't have posted this if I didn't think it was extremely important. Get the word out to your female friends, let them know about this silent killer. You may save a life.

Whew, that was a hard story to listen to...thanks for posting this Peggy. It is a very important issue. I'm very passionate about Breast Cancer Awareness.

Make sure to know your body girls, do your self-checks, get your regular check-ups done, etc. It's VERY important.

Thanks for posting that Peggy, I had never even heard of this before. And very shocking that the 16 year old girl died from it!

Thanks for the post Peggy. A lot of people (myself included at one time) think breast cancer is just one thing--it's not. Lisa has triple negative breast cancer which is not hormone driven nor hormone treatable--like inflammatory breast cancer it's survival rate is very low. I think we all need to raise awareness that even though breast cancer has a better survival rate these days, not all breast cancers are the same. Both triple negative and inflammatory breast cancer attack younger women. I hope someday there will be a cure for all breast cancer and no one will ever have to go through what my sister is going through--nor us, the family members, it affects without invading our bodies.
