I just brought home a blue Beta fish for my daughter, my son has a red one called Fins. I just love these guys, they have such fun personalities. I miss having an aquarium, we used to have female betas, that would eat from our hands.

How funny! I have a blue and red crowntail beta named Finn! He is two and likes no one but me, lol. My coworkers come see him and he flares up at them. I flutter my fingers at him and he wants to know if I am giving him some food!

I had a row of males named One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. :dance3:

Feanor was orange, Fingolfin was a true red, and Nenya was a blue. :) The first two were going to be flushed by some idiot freshman girls in my dorm Jr. year b/c they didn't want to take them home for Christmas break, so they planned to just buy two more when they got back.

The orange lived to be 4 years old.

Sometimes I wish I had a beta rather than the 46 gallon saltwater tank I have. The big tank is a pain to clean sometimes. Want to trade?

I have a greenish/teal and orange one. I named him mustang for two reasons.. 1. When I went to highschool in Hollywood our colors were green and orange(Like Miami Canes!) and I bought the fish in Orlando and drove home 2.5-3 hours with him to Fort Myers and races a Green Mustang all the way over and he didnt die. That was over 2 years ago and I still have him. They are the hardiest fish ever!

If this is true, you are awesome! :)

I currently have a pink and white/cream male fantail/ delta? tail. (I have a hard time discerning tail shapes.) He lives with 3 Otocinclus, pretty peacefully I might add. He rarely ever flares. He must be the most relaxed Betta ever.

Here he is:

Those are the best names ever! We used to read that book to our kids, it`s no exaggeration to say I`ve read it at least a thousand times. lol. Our new guy is a veil tail, the crown tails looked tiny and ragged. So far he`s enjoying his new home, I had to remind my son that it`s my daughters fish haha. He`s totally into Betas.
