biting leg

Hello. My chin ( Oso) has this problem: biting leg till it came out blood. Started 2 weeks ago when he didn't use the leg to jump. I took him to the vet and the vet said maybe he hit and now it hurts him. Ok. I went home and I said let's keep an eye on hom. He started biting it. And today I notice redness leg, without fur in that itchy place, and a little blood. I immediately put some betadine and called the vet. I will go today but I want to share wih you maybe someone had the same issue. Here is how it looks.

He is biting the leg because it still hurts. I would have the vet take an xray to see if he injured it worse then originally thought. You might also want to have the leg checked for fungus.

Thank you. I went to vet and he said there is necrosis at one toe. And he put Oso on antibiotics and gave a cream to calm the pain. Today it's the day when the vet will decide what to do next. I'm so worried..and sad.

If there is necrosis, the dead tissue needs to be removed. If it is not, it will cause infection.

I agree with cuddlebug. It needs removed. Did you vet say why the toe died? Was the leg broken?
