Seriously, I love this man. I am heartbroken. It is the family joke that I was going to marry him and all my laundry would be clean with Oxi Clean, my shower clean with KaBoom, my stove top clean with Orange Glo, all my items on Hercules hooks, all my plumbing problems fixed with that Mighty Putty, all the dings in my car fixed with Ding King and all my clothes mended with Mighty Mend It. I love Billy Mays. He was funny and very interesting and he could laugh at himself, too. Did you see him on Late Night with Conan this past week? It was great. Billy and I would have made a lovely couple. But I just found out he was found dead by his WIFE, Debbie. D**m!!

Farrah Fawcet, Michael Jackson, Ed McMahon, Billy Mays all in a week or so. What the heck!! And I am older than a a couple of them, even. Am I living on borrowed time?

it's quite scarey, i'm 44 and have realized for a long time, age doesn't matter, you can drop dead at any time.

It's sad whenever someone dies young and unexpectedly, but I will sure be glad when I don't have to listen to his commercials anymore. My husband and I used to wonder if he talked that way at home, and how anyone could live with that. I will admit it was effective, I remember all of the products he advertised, but I never bought any of them because I found him so irritating.

I feel bad for his family though. It's so hard to lose a loved one, and without any warning is even worse. At least when someone is ill for a while you can prepare yourself.

I really can't believe how many stars, tv personalities, etc are dying right now. Everyday, there seems to be another well known face on the news. I had just discovered that Billy had died - another tragedy. I guess he had hit his head during a plane landing...no stated cause of death yet that I know of. I also feel bad for his family as this was such an unexpected death. He was way too young and had so much going for him.

No, he didn't always talk like that. That was his 'enthusiastic, projected' voice. If you've ever seen him interviewed, he talked normally. My family and I all love Billy Mays.

I wanted to add to the comment about wondering if he talked like that all the time. Discovery Channel had a show called "Pitchmen." If you watched that, he didn't talk like that on there when he was talking to potential clients. It was only when he did commercials.

He seemed like such a funny, happy man. It is very sad. I can't believe it would be a bump on the head from a plane, what bad luck. It is scary, I know I may not have much time left here every day...so really, stop and smell the roses today. (no picking rosehips!)

Just wanted to update on Billy Mays passing. I just read on Yahoo that the cause of death was from heart disease. They still have more to do, and won't have the conclusive results for another six to eight weeks.
