I'm prepping myself for the soon to be released movie The Backup Plan with Alex O'Loughlin and Jennifer Lopez. Please mark your calendar for April 23rd and SEE THIS MOVIE! No fair calling dibs on Alex though as he's mine.

Anyway in preparing for this movie, in which I hope to see some hot and heavy kissing scenes and bare chested scenes (Alex only please! I don't need to see J-Lo's), I'm fondly recalling my favorite movie kiss scene ever . . .

Richard Gere and Debra Winger in An Officer and a Gentleman. It's the particular scene where she tries to leave the morning after--he holds the door shut as she tries to open it and then he slides down her her cheek and neck and kisses her. What makes Richard Gere such a great kisser? To me it's the way he always cradles his woman's face in his palms when he kisses her. I just melt!

A close second is The Last of the Mohicans when Daniel Day Lewis tells Madeline Stowe to: "Stay alive! No matter what happens I WILL find you!" no kissing there but OMG how do you now swoon over that?!

So tell me your favorite movie kiss scenes or just favorite love scene.

Hmm. Near the end of the Return of the King film, Viggo Mortenson plants one on Liv Tyler that I wouldn't have minded being her stunt double for.

The kiss between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams about 3/4 of the way through "The Notebook" (when they get off the boat in the rain) is high on my list of favorites too.

oooh, Viggo Mortenson... he is my second main man right after Hugh Jackman! Best kiss scene would be one (or both of them) with me!!!

LOL Laurie! I love this line! I quote this at least once a week, haha!

As far as best movie kiss, after thinking about it for awhile, I gotta say it's any movie with Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek together, I think there were 3 or maybe more, I get 'em mixed up, LOL! It's like watching soft-p*** with those two!

Vivian Leigh and Clark Gable in Gone with the Wind! When he kisses her then leaves her to fight for the south. *sigh* My favorite love story ever! :hearts:

There's also the one with him and Naomi Watts at the end of Eastern Promises. All that tension through the figuring out process, the intimidation tactics, the mishaps, the understated humor and peeks of niceness, his true human kindness there at the end, then one moment of connection before he goes right back to his mission. Great moment. I :cry3: every time.

Speaking of Hugh Jackman, he had a couple of nice ones in the X-Men franchise, most recently in Origins: Wolverine when he got his nickname.

Breakfast at Tiffany's!!!

At the end, when George Peppard and Audrey Hepburn are searching for Cat in the rain, they find him, and with him snuggled between them, they kiss!!! :hearts:

The end of August Rush. It isn't a kiss scene, but when they come together, it just makes you about want to weep. :) So romantic. <sigh>
